This is the live coverage of World Wrestling Entertainment’s newest pay-per-view extravaganza – Money In The Bank. WWE Money In The Bank is taking place on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The pre-show was the usual pre-show, hosted by Jack Korpela and Scott Stanford where they show highlights of different important matches relating to tonight’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
It’s now time for WWE Money In The Bank!
A video package began the show with one question being asked…what would you give to become the holder of the Money In The Bank?
The commentators for tonight’s show are Michael Cole and Jerry”The King”Lawler from WWE RAW and Matt Striker from WWE Friday Night SmackDown. The Spanish Announce Team is set up at ringside tonight.
MATCH #1: WWE MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH – KOFI KINGSTON v/s DOLPH ZIGGLER v/s CHRISTIAN v/s “DASHING” CODY RHODES v/s MATT HARDY v/s DREW MCINTYRE v/s “THE BIG RED MACHINE” KANE v/s THE BIG SHOW
The first match of the night is the first Money In The Bank Ladder Match and it’s the SmackDown brand match. WWE Intercontinental Champion, Kofi Kingston makes his way to the ring first. This is Kingston’s third MITB match. Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring and it is his second MITB match. Christian makes his way to the ring next and this is his fourth MITB match. “Dashing” Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring and this is his first MITB match. Matt Hardy is the next man to make his way to the ring and this is his fourth MITB match. Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring and this is his second MITB match. “The Big Red Machine” Kane makes his way to the ring for his fourth MITB match. The Big Show makes his way to the ring for his first MITB match. Matt Striker informs us that Jack Swagger is the tallest individual to win the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. The bell rings to begin this match. Kingston appears to have injured his right knee after a sliding dropkick to Kane who was holding a ladder. Kingston performed the Boom Drop on McIntyre, who was on the SAT table, from a ladder. The Big Show had his specially designed ladder in this match. Ziggler did the ZigZag on Rhodes into the ladder. The Superstars buried Show under ladders. KANE WINS! KANE WINS! THE BIG RED MACHINE IS NOW MR. MONEY IN THE BANK! It came down to Drew McIntyre and Kane. They were both on the top of the ladder that Show brought in. Kane shoved McIntyre down and then grabbed the briefcase.
THE WINNER: “THE BIG RED MACHINE” KANE
Backstage, WWE Heavyweight Champion – Sheamus is interviewed by Josh Matthews. Sheamus says he’s a man of pride but he isn’t stupid. He says the Nexus are a threat to everybody and he had to chose a side, so he did. He went out to send a message to the Nexus and make sure John Cena had no excuse tonight. When he beat Cena at TLC, he got zero respect and then when he beat him at Fatal 4 Way, he still didn’t get any respect. He doesn’t care about the fans’ opinion of him. He closed by saying that he’s going to give Cena a beating worse than anything the Nexus has given him because while they may be a threat, he’s a bigger one.
MATCH #2: WWE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – ALICIA FOX (champion) v/s EVE TORRES
Eve Torres makes her way to the ring. This match is for the Divas Championship. The WWE Divas Champion, Alicia Fox makes her way to the ring. The referee held up the championship belt before the bell rings to officially begin this match. The match ends when Fox pins Torres to retain the WWE Divas Championship.
THE WINNER: WWE DIVAS CHAMPION – ALICIA FOX
Footage from this week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, when “The All-American American” Jack Swagger tried to prove to “The Big Red Machine” Kane that he had nothing to do with The Undertaker’s attack, airs.
Backstage, Swagger is on the phone with his mother and is trying to explain to her what happened. He actually tells her to shut up. He says none of it was his fault and that his dad was living through him. He says it wasn’t his idea, it was his dad’s idea to come to the ring. He says his dad got what he deserved for trying to steal his spotlight. He says his dad would’ve done the same thing to him. He says he’s going to snap Rey Mysterio Jr.’s ankle tonight and win back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight.
MATCH #3: UNIFIED WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – THE HART DYNASTY (champions/with: Natalya Neidhart) v/s THE USOS (with: Tamina Snuka)
The Uso’s and Tamina Snuka make their way to the ring. The next match is for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. Jimmy and Jey Uso are accompanied to the ring by Tamina Snuka. The current Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, The Hart Dynasty and Natalya Neidhart make their way to the ring. DH Smith and Tyson Kidd are accompanied to the ring by Natalya Neidhart. The bell rings to begin this match. The match ends when DH Smith forces one of the Usos to submit to the Sharpshooter.
THE WINNER: UNIFIED WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS – THE HART DYNASTY

MATCH #4: WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – REY MYSTERIO JR. (champion) v/s JACK SWAGGER
It’s now time for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match!!! “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, the challenger, makes his way to the ring. He mouths the words, “It’s coming home tonight!” to the fans at ringside. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Rey Mysterio Jr., who is nursing an injured ankle, makes his way to the ring. The bell rings to begin this match. The match ends when Mysterio pins Swagger.
THE WINNER: WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION – REY MYSTERIO JR.
After the match, Swagger attacked Mysterio but Kane came out and chased Swagger to the back. As Mysterio celebrated in the ring, Kane returned and casked in his Money In The Bank contract.
MATCH #5: WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – REY MYSTERIO JR. (champion) v/s KANE
The bell rings to begin this match. The match ends when Kane chokeslams and Tombstones Mysterio. Kane is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
THE WINNER: AND NEW WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION – KANE
Backstage, “The Rated R Superstar” Edge is watching what’s going on in the arena when Chris Jericho enters the room. Edge says Kane won’t be the only one cashing in the briefcase tonight. Jericho says he’s been in just as many as Edge. Jericho says he’s going to cash in the briefcase tonight too. Edge says that’s big talk from someone who has never won a MITB match. Edge says the fun is just beginning. Jericho says no fun because the worse is to come for Edge.
MATCH #6: WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – LAYLA EL (champion/with: Michelle McCool) v/s KELLY KELLY (with: Tiffany)
It’s time for our second Divas match of the night. Kelly Kelly makes her way to the ring with Tiffany. Footage from WWE Friday Night SmackDown from two weeks ago where LayCool tries to intimidate Kelly Kelly, airs. Team LayCool make their way to the ring. The WWE Women’s Champion, Layla El is dressed in purple while Kelly Kelly is dressed in green. The referee holds the championship up for the fans to see before the bell rings to begin this match. The match ends when Layla El pins Kelly Kelly to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.
THE WINNER: WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPION – LAYLA EL
The WWE “Don’t Try This At Home” PSA airs.
The WWE acknowledges the United States Military that are in attendance.

“The Viper” Randy Orton is the first to make his way to the ring. John Morrison makes his way to the ring. Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring. Evan Bourne makes his way to the ring. “The Rated R Superstar” Edge makes his way to the ring. The bell rings to begin this match. THE MIZ WINS! THE MIZ WINS! THE MIZ IS MONEY IN THE BANK!
THE WINNER: WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPION – THE MIZ
After the match, The Miz says winning this match means he’s made it and he’s made believers out of everybody. He says he is a future WWE Champion. Why? Because he’s The Miz and he’s…AWESOME…AWESOME!

MATCH #8: STEEL CAGE MATCH FOR THE WWE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – SHEAMUS (champion) v/s JOHN CENA
The Steel Cage is lowered to the ring. The challenger, John Cena, makes his way to the ring. The WWE Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus makes his way to the ring. Justin Roberts introduces both individuals. The bell rings to begin the Steel Cage Match for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. It’s the main event and it starts right NOW! The Nexus make their way to the ring with bolt cutters but a referee grabs the cutters and runs to the locker room. The Nexus demand the key from Jack Doan but he throws them into the crowd. Cena tries pushes Sheamus into the ropes but knocks him into referee Charles Robinson by accident. He applies the STF on Sheamus and the WWE Champion taps out but none of the referees see it. Cena tries to get out of the ring but The Nexus block his way and Sheamus exits the ring first and retains the WWE Heavyweight Championship. The 39th WWE Champion is still reigning strong!
THE WINNER: WWE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION – SHEAMUS
After the match, Cena attacks Michael Tarver of The Nexus and yells “I TOLD YOU I WOULD TAKE ALL OF YOU OUT!”. The show ends with the camera looking at the carnage known as The Nexus.
